Vacations. We all want them. We all need them. We all spend our lives wishing they would come sooner and then wishing they would come back. There’s nothing quite like waving goodbye to all your worries and doing exactly what you want to do. Maybe you can only squeeze in a weekend. Maybe you’ve got a whole week to yourself. Perhaps more. However many days are blocked out on your calendar, they are golden and revered days, held in the highest esteem and valued above almost anything else.
That’s why it’s such a shame that we never know how to spend our vacation time wisely.
The problem is that nobody trains us for these things. And by “these things” I mean planning a vacation. They sort of just happen around us until a certain age, and then we tend to carry on where our parents left off, going to the same types of places and doing the same types of things, taking pictures along the way (see hellocanvas.co.uk for ideas on turning your photos into wall art!).
For those who have never ‘gone all-inclusive’ and have thought about it but never committed, let’s look at some of the reasons why the all-in deal is worth your time and money.
One payment, one booking, sorted
Let’s start with something obvious. All-inclusive holidays are designed to make things as easy as possible for you at the booking stage. You need return flights? Your plane tickets are included. You need a hotel with a 4-star rating or above? That’s part of the deal. Like the look of some of the excursions running daily from the hotel? Pay now as part of your booking. Your meals and drinks at the hotel are included, too. With all-inclusive, the leg work is done before you arrive. You never need to look for somewhere to eat or worry about your connections to and from the airport. Everything is taken care of, leaving you to focus on having a good time and taking all the pictures that your smartphone memory card can store.
Safe locations – great for family time
All-inclusive resorts are like self-sufficient villages, away from the major towns and cities. The entire resort is populated by holiday makers and staff, meaning you don’t have to worry so much about pickpockets and other nefarious characters hovering around your family and eyeing up their various bags and phones.
Lastly, all-inclusive offers luxury at affordable prices
When everyone chips in to pay for their all-inclusive booking, the prices of the holidays come down. That’s why entire resorts can offer such luxurious settings, cuisine, entertainment, and activities for “free” (i.e. as part of your booking).
This is as luxury as luxury gets, without the price tag – and something everyone with the means should try at least once.
