Keeping that in mind, let’s continue talking about why it’s not such a bad idea to stay in one spot, either.
Have a real computer
Not only can you have tons of control over how good your internet is when you are at home, but you can also go against trends and get a fabulous desktop computer for cheap. Especially if you are willing to buy used, you can build yourself a genuinely excellent machine very, very cheaply these days.
You can then couple this with a better keyboard, monitor, and mouse than any laptop could ever have, all for peanuts.
Some hacks help do computer stuff on the road, which is valuable for travelers. But when you have a powerful computer, especially combined with a good internet connection, it’s incredible how much you can increase your productivity.
Make lasting friendships
It’s been written about so many times all over the place, but it bears a little bit of repetition here.
It is easier to keep in touch with people if they are your neighbors. You have a particular connection with people when you live in the same immediate area. That connection will never be the same when you are always traveling.
Once again, traveling is incredible, but there are definite downsides, and this one is important to mention because it’s a biggie.
Have a 3D printer
This is another thing we didn’t realize how much we missed from being nomads until we found ourselves in one place for a long time and wound up getting one.
3D printers are an incredible invention, and they have so many uses it’s not even worth getting into here because this article would be unreadably long.

Buy land and build roots.
These days, people are increasingly into renting and less and less into owning.
However, this means that there is a huge opportunity to be an owner these days. Honestly, owning land has become significantly undervalued in many areas on earth now.
You can even buy land and develop it from scratch, for profit, but also to build your dream space. Deals are often found in relatively rural areas near larger urban centers. And with entities such as Bonds Express in existence now, it’s much easier to get started with a project like this.
Instead of using Airbnb to find a space, you can make money off the same platform.
