With aqua blue waters, thousands of olive trees, and beautiful walking tracks in Paxos, the island is an amazing destination. We were fortunate enough to sail there via yacht earlier this year in June, however it can also be accessed via ferry.

Photo Essay: Walking tracks in Paxos, Greece
On our first morning, we got up early with the intention of catching the bus from Lakka to Gaios. However, this was the first time we learnt to never rely on a bus on a Sunday! So with buses running every day except Sunday we decided to walk along the roads and paths to Loggos, which took 30 minutes each way.

We also spent the afternoon walking along the cliffs! The tourist information offices sell a great map of the island with walking tracks marked for about 2 euro. So, we started our walk at Lakka, passed by the Light House Lakka Paxon, and then continued on to Ypapanti Cove and Cave which was very high up and extremely steep!! (very scary if you get vertigo like me). We then continued in a loop and made our way back via the ‘Church of the Hypapanti’ where you could walk up the spiral staircase and get a great view from the top of the bell tower.
