First stop: Munich – A great combo of city life and MTB-action

Why Munich? Well to start off, Munich is one of the major travel hubs in Germany and it offers a perfect starting point for our little tour. The city itself holds a lot of fantastic possibilities to dive into the German culture in general and the German beer philosophy in particular. Munich is home to many beer gardens and breweries, which will pamper you with traditional food and several types of really tasty beer.

For single male bikers looking for some attractive company, up-scale escort services can hook you up with breath-taking ladies. Many of these sportive models love biking. Furthermore, Munich is also a great place to start with some more or less easy tours before heading for the challenging trails across the Alps. The most scenic trails will lead you along the river Isar. The so called “Isar-Trail-Paradise” is a combination of easy to medium up-hill tracks which will get your blood pumping and short down-hill stages through shady woods.

Once you have discovered Munich and its surroundings, travel on to the Berchtesgaden region – a true hot spot for MTB lovers which offers tracks for both easy rides and literally breath-taking mountain tours! From there, it is just a short drive to the Austrian Alps …

Innsbruck – home to one of the best downhill tracks in the world!

Yup! You read it: In the world! Innsbruck in Tyrol / Austria is a true Eldorado for down-hill lovers. The relatively small city itself is a great place to stay, as it offers not only a pretty cool nightlife, but is also a fantastic starting point to discover the Austrian Alps. Some of the tracks start directly in the city – others are just a ten-minute drive away from your hotel. But let’s talk down-hill deluxe!

The Nordkette Single Track Trail is considered one of the most demanding and beautiful down-hill trails on the planet! And the cool thing is that you can easily take the “Innsbruck Nordkette Gondola” from the city centre up to 1,900 metres, strap on your protective gear (highly recommended!) and get ready for an adrenalin overdose. Over a length of 4,2 kilometres, your skill-set will be challenged to the extreme. Every year this trail hosts the “spark7 Nordkette Downhill.Pro” competition, where the world’s best bikers master the trail in less than ten minutes. Needless to say that the area around Innsbruck offers an abundance of other, more chilled-out trails for all experience levels.

MTB-Bonanza meets La dolce vita – South Tyrol / Italy

After some spectacular days in Innsbruck, you should definitely check out the Dolomites in Italy. All you need to do is board a train and after more or less two hours you will arrive in Bressanone – a beautiful city in the Italian Dolomites. Why Bressanone? Because it is home to countless MTB trails which will exceed even your highest expectations! And it is also home to a hotel – the “Goldene Krone” – which focuses mainly on mountain bikers during the summer season.

Host Alexander Resch is one of the most famous MTB guides of the region. A guy who lives, breathes and thinks mountain bike 24/7 and who will show you some truly amazing trails. Most of them will lead you up and down the “Plose” which is the mountain closest to the city – a place, Alex knows like the back of his hand. To sum things up, Europe is a real treat for mountain bikers and if you check out these three locations, you will enjoy a truly unforgettable MTB holiday!
