Although it is one of the most-visited country in the world, Australia is not actually that well known by others in terms of what it does and does not offer. If you are thinking of visiting Australia, but you’re not sure what you should actually fully expect, then you are absolutely not alone, and this is an experience which many others have had in your place as well. Of course, the only true way to uncover something like that is to visit it yourself, so that is the best thing to do. But to give you an idea of the kind of things you can do to find some adventure – and to relax – have a look at some of the great examples below. All of these are experiences you can have in Australia which you are bound to enjoy, no matter who you are or why you generally travel.

Climb Uluru

You have almost certainly heard of Uluru, the giant rock that sits at the centre of the Australian continent. This ancient piece of stone is one of the true wonders of the world, and it is so vast that you might think it is not scalable. However, you could be wrong, and actually there are many guided tours up to the top of it from which you can see some of the best sights in the world as the Australian land is laid out beneath you. If you are looking for some middle-level activity, then this is perfect, as anyone who is generally pretty fit and healthy can manage it. It’s a good way to ease yourself into your trip and see a lot of the country you’re visiting.

Chill Out

If you are looking for something more relaxed to do and you want a few days of just doing nothing much, then Australia has plenty to offer in that respect too. You can pretty much go anywhere and find a great place to relax and unwind, but a few places in particular are likely to be especially good for this. For example,s you might want to think about visiting Rainbow Beach on the beautiful Fraser Island, which is known for being especially relaxing. Or you can think about going anywhere along the Sunshine Coast on the Eastern side of the continent. In any case, it’s not hard to find somewhere to chill out.

Surfing

Of course, if you think of Australia probably one of the first things you think of is surfing. Everyone in the country, it sometimes seems, at least has a go at surfing, and if you are visiting you should do so too. It is hard to pick up, but once you do you will find that it is especially enjoyable, and it’s a great level of activity if you are looking to keep in shape while you are travelling. With hundreds of beaches to choose from in order to surf, this is definitely something you will want to consider.
